Deveron Projects has invited visual artists, musicians and writers to live and work in our town Huntly since the mid-1990s. With each residency, the artists have contributed artworks and other artefacts to an expanding living archive - the Town Collection. These works are not held in one place, gallery or museum, but are uniquely hosted in local shops, businesses, public buildings, hidden pathways and local landmarks across Huntly and its Hinterlands. This is why Deveron Projects works under the guiding motto the town is the venue.

With over 80 works in the collection, they reflect the diversity, interest and character of the local residents as much as they do the artists who have worked here.

You can visit our website to view or download the map of our marked Art Trails, taking you along some familiar and unfamiliar routes, pathways and streets around Huntly. Through the Town Collection you can discover the history, people, architecture, as well as the nooks and crannies of Huntly in a unique, social way.
